Where would the world be without religion? Would we all be in hover cars, or murdering each other with no good values?

I've got nothing against people having a religion, but religion has a history of censoring things that they believe are wrong (e.g. scientific ideas and progress). So, in that case, wouldn't we be much more advanced without religion?

Throughout history, there has been so much unnecessary violence caused by religion, and there still is today, but then again, it has kept many people under control, so the world would be anarchy without religion, right?

I believe that in general the world would be a much more developed and happy place, but that's just my opinion. What do you think?

I think that without religion, a bunch of pointless death and a pandemic of ignorance would have been avoided.

I disagree, I think religion has created much more good and happiness than bad.

Back it up? I personally don't think anything good has come out of religion. Philosophy and all is good, having a code of ethics to go by is too, but religion in general seems to breed conflict and ignorance. It also warps personalities in some cases. My cousin went to a baptist boarding school and he was brainwashed past the point of no return.
